    Hi again NornIron!

Great question! I would recommend checking out the Pacific coast; there are a ton of draws to that long region, and many different destinations you can choose from over there.

Quick question: Have you yet tried out our Costa Rica Destination Tool? It’s free for DIY Costa Rica members like yourself. The reason I ask is because we built the tool specifically for this purpose, to help travelers determine which destinations they should visit during their trip. If I were to recommend a few places to you, I’d first need to ask you a slew of questions, to get a better sense of the kind of destination you would feel the most comfortable visiting. Instead, our tool can quickly and easily do this for you. The tool is designed as a questionnaire, and all you need to do is select the criteria that you want, and the tool will instantly tell you which destination(s) we would recommend you visit. Since you’ve already decided on several destinations, and you are simply looking for a final destination on the Pacific coast, I’d recommend trying the tool three separate times: once while selecting the Northern Pacific/Guanacaste criterion, once while selecting the Nicoya Peninsula criterion, and once while selecting the Central Pacific criterion. Doing so will limit our recommendation(s) to those three areas on the Pacific coast. (Note: Don’t select all three of these criteria at the same time; doing so will return an error because it isn’t possible for a destination to be located in all three regions.) Also to confirm, snorkeling and surfing are optional criteria on our tool, so you can select those if you’d only like to receive recommendations that are good for those activities. 🙂
