ParticipantHello
I have 3 travelers going from Manuel Antonio to Monteverde in Feb 2023. I found several companies that would do a private transfer, but am interested in options to site see or have an adventure along the way. I read your blog “how to get around Costa Rica” and seeTours that include transportation from Manuel Antonio to Monteverde
Carara National Park Tour
Tarcoles River Boat (Crocodile) TourHow can I find information on companies that offer this service?
1 other question, we will be staying at Monteverde Country Lodge. Is there anything walking distance to do or see in the afternoon, and/or a restaurant for dinner not to miss?
Thank you so much. Your website and blog has been extremely helpful in my planning!

KeymasterHello metiggles!
Thank you so much for your kind comments! I’m happy to answer your questions for you. 🙂
- For the tours from Manuel Antonio to Monteverde that include an activity along the way, these are called “Adventure Connections” and they’re operated by Desafio Adventure Company: https://www.desafiocostarica.com

The Monteverde Country Lodge sits on a side road just off Road 620, which is a main road that connects Santa Elena (a.k.a., downtown Monteverde) with the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. Lots of businesses and restaurants are spread out along this road, so you can certainly roam around and find places of interest. (I like the Monteverde Art House for shopping and Tramonti for dinner, both of which are just off Road 620, about 500-1,000 meters from the Monteverde Country Lodge.) Also within reach of you are Valle Escondido and Santuario Ecologico, two places that provide lovely hiking trails. As a heads up, beware that drivers speed along the windy Road 620, so walk along it with caution.

GuestDoes anyone have information about sailing with Ocean Breeze Yachts out of Quepos?
Thanks,Nikki
KeymasterHi Ross!
Hmmmm…. good question! I don’t have any personal experience with Ocean Breeze, so unfortunately I cannot comment on them. 🙁 If it helps you any, the company I sailed the Manuel Antonio coast with is Planet Dolphin. They offer regular public sailing tours as well a private charters.
