    Hey PuraVidaGortons!

Great to hear it! We love Monteverde and hope you will too. 🙂 Is there anything specific you’d like to have at your Monteverde lodging or is there a particular pricepoint (economy, standard, superior, etc.) that you’d like to stick to? Your question couldn’t come at a better time because we have a great article in the works that details some of the Monteverde hotels we like to stay at. (The article is very similar to this one—La Fortuna Hotels: Where We Stay Around Arenal—which details hotels we like to stay at in the La Fortuna/Arenal region.) I’m hoping to make that article public by the end of this weekend (I can report back here with a link to it when it’s live), but if you’d like to research lodging options in the meantime, here’s a list (in alphabetical order) of the accommodations that the article covers:

    Camino Verde
    Hotel Poco a Poco
    Monteverde Country Lodge
    Monteverde Inn
    Monteverde Rustic Lodge
    Monteverde Villa Lodge

Awesome! I look forward to the article. We’re looking for standard to superior accommodations that give some space and privacy with two teens!! We’ve been looking at Poco, Koora and Belmar! Getting rooms with three beds or two rooms adjacent/nearby is proving complicated!!

    Hey Todd!

This quick message is to let you know that our article about Monteverde hotels is currently live on our blog. Here’s a link to where you can find it:

Since you mentioned you’d prefer to have a room with three beds (or two adjacent rooms), you may want to check out the Monteverde Country Lodge and the Monteverde Villa Lodge in addition to Hotel Poco a Poco. Both the Monteverde Country Lodge (which I’d peg as falling between a standard hotel and a superior hotel) and the Monteverde Villa Lodge (which is a standard hotel) have some rooms with three beds. (The rooms are designed to sleep families/groups of five people, but they’d also accommodate your group of four people and allow the two teens to have their own bed.) Most rooms at Hotel Poco a Poco don’t have three beds but their “Garden Family” (#17) room does.

    Pura vida! 🙂
