KeymasterHello SumDIY22!
We do! Though the best place to learn about chocolate in Costa Rica is on the Caribbean coast, there are a few spots elsewhere in the country where you can participate in a chocolate tour. According to your itinerary, I’d recommend slotting in a chocolate tour during your time in either Monteverde or Drake Bay.
Monteverde is home to the Don Juan Coffee Tour (primarily a coffee tour) and the El Trapiche Tour (primarily a sugarcane tour), both of which include a chocolate tour as part of their quintessential coffee/sugarcane tours. These experiences run on the regular and are easy to book/access through the operators’ websites. In contrast, there’s a great chocolate tour in Rancho Quemado, a tiny community outside of Drake Bay. Though this tour option is less touristy, it’s also a bit trickier to set up. Let me know if you’d like to receive information about the Rancho Quemado experience!
