Hmm… good question. It’s tough to say without knowing the context or the full sentence. Would you mind providing more of the text where you’ve spotted the “time and mileage” usage? Most car rental agencies in Costa Rica include unlimited mileage with their rentals (mileage acquired outside of Costa Rica, such as in Panama or Nicaragua, is not permitted). In contrast, most car rental agencies in Costa Rica base their pricing on the number of days and hours that the car will be rented, so the use of the term “time” here is rather confusing.
